The artist
Joan Pons started recording solo numbers at his home in Guissona under the name El Petit de Cal Eril for his own pleasure. But his music evolved and developed naturally to win the hearts of critics and public alike. Perhaps the secret lies in Pons’ unusual universe - bucolic, with childlike touches and a great deal of animal life. Barcelonés suggested that he compose a song especially for us and he produced A mi, an existential meditation on the self, that we offer as a free download with the winter issue.
